Mindmapping has proven to be an effective tool for scientists, composers, writers, and students of the Quran! Why? Because this method of note-taking allows the brain to form links between information bits and to create a network of meaning that strengthens memory and enhances understanding of the material.
How Do I Do it?
Simply think of a piece of information as a point that must be connected to other pieces of information. Now put that on paper! As you’re given more bits of information, connect them to other bits of information and watch patterns emerge.
This will take some practice, so make it fun and easy at first, and don’t worry about doing it wrong. Follow your own instincts and develop your own method of linking facts.
(You can also try Googling “mindmap” for tips and software.)
May Allah (swt) richly bless your efforts to learn and spread the message of the Quran.
Be pious scholars of the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied. [from Al-Quran, 3:79]
