Following the sunnah brings enormous virtues, and many simple practices carry rewards so huge you can’t even grasp them!
One reward comes with this simple dua. You might have heard of the same reward: Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah’s rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven. [Al-Bukhaari, Muslim]
But there’s a similar reward for this simple supplication; all you need to do is eat and acknowledge the perfect power of Allah to provide for you, without any doing of your own. The reward is the forgiveness of all your previous sins. Allahu akbar kabeera!
How-to’s:
- If you haven’t memorized this dua yet, write it on a note and stick it near your dining table.
- If you have memorized it, write “dua for eating” on a note and stick it on the wall where you eat, so you don’t forget saying it after eating.
