Recall all the (minor) sins you’ve committed over time, and then imagine that there’s one deed you can do which rewards you with the forgiveness of all of these sins. There is such a deed; it takes just one minute, and you have a chance to do it after each prayer.
Sounds amazing doesn’t it?
Discover this highly rewarding sunnah and make it a habit, inshaa’Allah.
The Prophet (salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: Whoever says after each prayer:
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ ، والْحَمْدُ لِلهِ ، وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ ، وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ-
Subhaan-Allaah, wal-ḥamdu lillaah, wallaahu akbar (33x), laa ilaaha ill-allaahu waḥdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu wa huwa ‛alaa kulli shay’in qadeer – How far from imperfections Allah is, all praise is for Allah, and Allah is the greatest. (thirty-three times) None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent,” his sins will be forgiven, even if they were as much as the sea foam. [Muslim, 1/418]
Now, this seems like an extremely easy deed, know that the shaytan will try his utmost best to make you miss this reward by reminding you about something to do straight after prayer.
- Ask Allah (azza wa jall) to give you tawfeeq and make sure to say this after each prayer as the shaytan will try to make you forget.
- Use a sticky note on the wall or phone reminder to help you remember.
- Teach children and others this rewarding habit, inshaa’Allah.Praying you will benefit,The Understand Quran Academy Team

Assalamu Alykum Rasheed Khan,
It is:
Subhaan-Allaah – 33 times,
Al-ḥamdu lillaah – 33 times
Allaahu akbar – 33 times and
laa ilaaha ill-allaahu waḥdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu wa huwa ‛alaa kulli shay’in qadeer – 1 time
Also it is very rewarding to say “la hawla wala kuwata illa billah”, whenever you can, as much as possible. It is one of the treasures of Paradise.
Jazakallah Khairun.
Sincerely,
Jasmin Abdul Razak
