Use Drama to Learn Quran
Having trouble keeping details of the Quran in your head? Get together with a study buddy and try acting out your favourite stories. You’ll be amazed at how much information you can easily absorb and retain! Dramatic reenactment is not only fun, it makes stories unforgettable by getting us to think from the perspectives of the characters.
Some other suggestions for drama learning:
- Teach the children in your life to act out Quran stories with you as director
- Stage a conversation between two people who appear in the Quran. Improvise! You can’t improvise without understanding your character, which is a great motivator for learning!
- Stage a television interview with a Quran character. For example, You could interview the eldest brother of Yusuf and ask him why they had wanted to get rid of Yusuf.
