“Be pious scholars of the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied.” [Quran 3:79]

You could be studying Islam, chemistry, some type of mathematics or history, in shaa allah, whatever you are studying is for the purpose of benefiting humanity in some way. There are many distractions that take us away from our deen, and it is important to constantly remember Allah (swt) so that in these busy times of learning and stress we can remain patient and still be successful.

The addition of a few simple good habits in your day could benefit and prepare for upcoming challenges; having good intentions and striving to be better will also help you be happier and more open to new ideas that will release your creative energy.

Make a Plan

Realistically, we know sometimes we expect too much of ourselves, and other times not enough. Learning how to manage your time in a way that helps you reach your goals is important and makes life stressors a little easier to manage.

Start by organizing your tasks from obligatory such as prayer, and learning about Islam, to other tasks like homework, studying, and home responsibilities. Never leave something to be done the next day or later, rather wash those last dishes, finish a small assignment, or spend time teaching others.

Arrange your day in a way that is productive, get some exercise and clear your mind to study for a few hours during the day, cook dinner, and be thankful, asking Allah (swt) to continue allowing you good health and the opportunity to learn and be productive

Mind your Intentions

If you are always remembering, thanking, and thinking of Allah (swt), it will be difficult to become miserly or hopeless, rather your heart will be filled with love and energy, masha allah.

Always do good for yourself and for others, and try to fulfill responsibilities and obligations with patience and honesty. Spend time studying and be prepared for tests and exams, and start on homework early so that you won’t be tempted to hurriedly complete things without learning or benefiting.

If you manage your time properly and be patient with yourself, you will find newfound energy and will be able to focus on your studies, as well as any projects or hobbies you enjoy that will reflect what you are learning in a way that will benefit others. *Have some peppermint tea with honey to have a mental boost and increased focus.

Dua for Studying

Oh Allah, make useful for me what you have taught me and teach me knowledge that will be useful to me. Ameen.

Praying you will benefit.
