The Elevated and the Abased
Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (saw) said, Verily, Allah elevates some people with this Quran and abases others. [Muslim]
This is to say that some people who read this will get glory— elevation in this world and in the hereafter. As for those who leave this book, Allah (swt) will humiliate and defeat them and leave them to their destruction.
What Makes People Successful in This World?
The problem is, we Muslims have left the Quran; 99% of us unfortunately don’t understand one percent of the Quran. The proof is that we are now at the lowest station in this world— we have no respect, no honour. You can see this in how we are portrayed in this world.
How does the book that gives eternal success give success in this world also?
Seven Elements of Success (as described by modern gurus):
- Attitude
- Confidence
- Optimism and positive thinking
- Perseverance
- A Pondering Mind
- High Moral Values
- Good Relationships with others
No book or teacher can create these values more powerfully than Al-Quran!
Al-Quran is a book of personal development that will give you:
- all the elements enabling you to excel in this world;
- peace of mind and heart, the ultimate prize in this world; and
- success in the hereafter— the everlasting true success.
This is the real barakah that Al-Quran can give us (actually Allah gives us through His guidance).
Our Vision
Our vision is not to take Al-Quran just in that limited sense of “barakah” but also to see it as a book of success, the comprehensive barakah, and to study it with utmost attention and dedication.
