What is Dawah?
Dawah is not just talks and speeches; it is a warm invitation through beautiful actions. It is not just about quoting a lot; it is about reaching hearts. It is not just presenting statistics, data, number or logic; it is a lovely feeling of influencing hearts and minds. It is not just winning a debate; it is winning the person. It is not just sharing those positive phrases on social media it is making your life positive and of those around you. It is about being cheerful. It is greetings accompanied by smile.
Narrated Ibn Jaz: “I have not seen anyone who smiled more than the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).” [At-Tirmithi]
It is being polite and humble. It is talking wisdom and remaining silent.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “He who believes in Allah and the Last Day must either speak good or remain silent.” [Muslim].

It is taking a tough stand when satan urges you to disobey Allah. It is enjoying halal provided by our lord. It is helping people by going out of the way.
It is not just talking confidently maintaining eye contact; it is lowering your gaze and not just in public but also on social media and websites.
“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts…” – [al-Noor 24:30]
And, it is definitely not long conversations about divisions, highlighting other people’s mistakes, judging people etc.
It means “a call” or “an invitation” and in Islamic context inviting to Allah’s deen. Deen which has several meanings one of it is a “way of life”.
A daee lives the best life!
“And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, “Indeed, I am of the Muslims.” Surah Fussilat 33:41
(Join the Understand Quran Academy and learn to read and understand the Quran. Nothing is better in dawah than knowing the book of Allah in Arabic. And a good understanding of the Quran adds cherry to the cake in a Daee’s profession in particular and a Muslim’s life in general)
