I have never taken an online course before; will I be able to cope with this? Yes, our courses are very detailed plan which can be followed even by a 4 year old child to an elderly person. We are trying to provide services for all ages and qualifications.

Do we have any course materials? Our students will be given access to UnderstandQuran.com to watch all our video lessons. Plus, they will have an option to watch the recordings of all their lessons; and a student workbook, textbook and worksheets developed for the lessons will be sent by your teacher. Besides, children will have access to our online game and some links will be sent to watch the videos which are related to our lessons.

How the classes are conducted? We use Skype for Live 1 to 1 Sessions. Teacher will help you get accustomed to using it.

What curriculum will you teach in Personal Classes? We have developed a revolutionary curriculum to get learners of all ages on the fast track towards reading Quran with the following courses:
1. Read Quran – The Easy Way with built-in Tajweed – a 20-hour course divided over 50 lessons.
2. Understanding Quran and Salah – The Easy Way
Short Course 1 – targeting 50% of Quranic Arabic vocabulary – a 9-hour course in 19 sessions.
Short Course 2 – targeting 70% vocabulary – an additional 9-hour course spread over 20 sessions.
Short Course 3   The duration may vary depending on the competency level of each student.

Can I do Hifz of Quran through your program? Yes. We do have some students who are enrolled in this program. Based on the available slot you will be given a teacher.

Can I learn Quranic Arabic as well as spoken Arabic through your courses? Yes. We teach extensive Quranic Arabic with a practice on spoken Arabic.

Any computer skills required? You need the basic knowledge of computer, and we will send you a link to go through the training session. For children those who are under the age of 10 will have to be assisted by their parents and the basic skills will be taught to the kids in the intro session. Even children of 4 to 5 years can participate in our classroom if they can get hold of the mouse control.

What is Online Weekend School & who will benefit from this program? Online Weekend School conducts Quran & Islamic Studies classes on weekends. Due to Covid, school world across are closed and parents are concerned about their children’s Quranic Education. Online Weekend School provides them a GOLDEN Opportunity to learn Quran in their home through online learning.

How can I get the textbooks and Workbooks for my children? You can download the PDF and print, or you can purchase it from https://understandquran.com//////////////////////product-category/books/

My child is more than 12 years old but does not know Tajweed? It is not a problem, before we enrol the students, we check their Arabic skills and put them in appropriate level.

My child is of Primary level, but knows Tajweed very well, can he/she join Junior level? Yes. He/she can join the Junior level.

My child is not coping well in the weekend classes; what should I do to ensure he/she learns? We suggest to you two options: 1. that as parent you can conduct the classes as our online material is free. 2. If you are busy or unable to teach your child due to some reason, then he/she can join the 1-2-1 online classes. There will be close interaction with teacher, and we see better improvement. My child enrolled in Senior level, but you are teaching Junior level courses? Why? Junior Level courses are a pre-requisite to Senior Level Courses. So, after completion of these courses, he/she will learn Senior Level Courses. In sha Allah!

My child is already enrolled in 121 Program, should I also enrol him in Online Weekend School? Online Weekend School is for children who cannot attend 121 Program due to many reasons.

Can I change the teacher and timing for my child? Unfortunately, you cannot change the timing of the classes as we offer only one section of the weekend school at present.

Will there be boys and girls in same class? There will be strict control of online class, so that discipline is maintained. No camera and no interaction between boys and girls will be allowed.

Important Unique features of Read Quran (RQ)

Phonetic Order of Arabic letters: The classical order of Arabic letters follows the shape-wise arrangement. RQ teaches the Arabic letters in Phonetic order, starting with lip letters, tongue-tip, side of the tongue, edge of the tongue, and throat letters. This order is natural and easy to teach and remember for young learners.
TPI (Total Physical Interaction): TPI is considered one of the most effective methods in teaching children and adults. The actions for different categories of letters like normal, thick, thick & high, and high enhances makharij.
Poems & Rhymes: As children learn faster through poems, RQ is learned through 18 letter poems and rhymes. It increases student engagement and energy in the classroom.
Tajweed Practice with Quranic Words
Letters on fingers: Each letter is given a position on fingers. The children are excited to learn and it makes it easier to remember the order of letters. Course Material: Textbook, Workbook, Presentations, Videos, Classroom posters, and word formations. Teaching Methods: Use of Rhymes (for the first time in learning Arabic), extensive use of TPI, Think-Pair-Share (TPS) and activity-based learning, extensive practice by repetition. Lesson Plans, teacher guides & supporting resources are provided. Course Outcome: After the completion of this course, the student will be able to pronounce the Makharij correctly, write the Arabic words, and read the Quran applying the rules of Tajweed. The student will be able to identify the rules while reciting the Quran.
