Allah is not Embarrassed to give the example of a Mosquito or even smaller than that…
As I was reviewing my hifdh, and was reciting surah Al Baqarah, I went past Ayah 26. Did a retake, and recited it again…slowly this time, for I felt as if Allah was telling me something that was so relevant to our situation today. I recited again, thinking of the meanings and felt goosebumps…
Indeed, Allah is not timid to present an example – that of a mosquito or what is smaller than it.
Subhan Allah. This tiny virus is so small that it is not visible to us. It is indeed smaller than a mosquito and Allah is not shy in talking about it. And now we know why!!! It has the whole world under lockdown. We are at a standstill because of this small thing. Now, do we realize why Allah is not shy about His smallest creation? Allah has given it the power to change everything around us in a matter of days!
I read on…
And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord.
Again, I stopped in awe. If we believe that Allah and only Allah has the power over everything, then this truly is from our Lord. And that whatever creature exists, exists because of Him, because he created it.
But as for those who disbelieve, they say, “What did Allah intend by this as an example?
And really is it not so? That we are trying to figure out all kinds of theories as to what this could possibly mean. Social media is full of it.
He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby.
Take the example of Corona today. Many of us feel that we have drawn closer to Allah. We realize that we need to improve ourselves, with whatever time we have left, straighten up our act, remember that we are heading back. Knowing that Allah is there. Realizing by this example that it is only Allah, and we need to turn back to Him. And then, on the other hand, some of us feel frustrated. Or we get into seeking predictions, begging others to help us. Relying on doctors to heal us. Thinking that we need to rely on the means…just refuse to see that it is Allah alone Who can relieve us from this calamity.
And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient.
So, the choice is ours. We need to make sure we are not disobedient to Allah’s commands, in order to be guided, especially at times like this. Oh, Allah guide me to stay steadfast on your path, and help me to be obedient to you, Ameen.
For me, this ayah really summed up our pandemic situation today. It brought back a sense of peace. I was able to understand and see the bigger picture. Alhamdulillah for having the Quran with us. It really has answers for us for every day.
JazakAllahu Khair

She told me that she’s mad at Allah (astaghfiru llah ) because Allah is killing alot of innocent people around the world in a hard way . I told her that there are things that we (mankind ) can’t understand حكمة الله ,buti didn’t convince her.so please if anyone can help me to convince her , contact me or reply to my comment . Thank you so much hafidhakum allah
Assalamu alykm. Please explain to her that part of our belief in Allah is to believe in qadr, the good or the bad. We may not understand the wisdom behind it but we should always trust Allahfor HE knows best. May Allah aid her understanding. Amin
jazakhallah khair for sharing… it’s a powerful reminder to keep our trust in Allah at this difficult time and to take advantage of the lockdown to increase our good deeds (dikhr, sadaqah, quran reading).
Nice description
it always nice to hear quran narration which narrate crucial situation like covid-19, its a reminder for all of us to love less to worldly things and care more about hereafter. jzkallahkhair for enlighten us
Sister,
It is just ignorance to blame Allah, the Most Merciful. Indeed it is not Allah but man due to greed spoiling the beautiful planet we all share. Allah greatness is beyond our imagination and His greatness can only be admired if we start reflecting the phenomena of day and night, vastness of space, creation of man, etc.
Man with his limited knowledge blames the creator if something goes against his wishes forgetting the free will he has been endowed. The stage of technological advancement man has reached is due to free will only and this is only the distinction between man and beast.
We Muslims, submit to the will of the creator without questions and should be a role model for humanity. Islam only enjoins good and prohibit evil. If we adhere to the commandments of Allah then all sort of trials are nothing but tests for a Muslim.
Jazak Allahu Khair
Sister,
Realty it’s a great effort and may ALLAH (SWT) reward you and protect you from evils. May ALLAH (SWT) grant us strength to recite the Qur’an and practice it as well. Aameen
