“What are your goals in Ramadan?” she asked. My mind started fast-forwarding. Finishing the Quran, studying thetafseer of selected parts, teaching children about fasting, organising a charity iftaar . . . Then I thought, hang on a minute, what if I die tomorrow?

Let’s discover what you can achieve before Ramadan to boost your productivity and enter Ramadan on top of things, insha’Allah!

Allah ‘azza wajal gives us a golden piece of advice in this central ayah:
….and make provision, for surely the provision is the guarding of oneself, and be careful (of your duty) to Me, O men of understanding. [Quran, 2:197]

-What is taqwa?
-How can I experience Ramadan with my heart?
-What are 8 steps to take now to be rewarded immensely in Ramadan?

Part 2 to study on Saturday 13th of June:
Prepare with the Quran!

Many of us are setting Quran goals for Ramadan, and often these goals are based on numbers.
Quantity is fine, but what about quality? How can you help yourself to feel the full effect of the Quran?

Let’s learn instantly how you can feel closer to the message of the Quran so you can finally feel what you recite this Ramadan, inshaa’Allah!

Allah the Almighty makes a mighty statement in the central ayah:
Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would certainly have seen it falling down, splitting asunder because of the fear of Allah, and We set forth these parables to men that they may reflect. [Quran, 59:21]

-Why is the Book of Allah called Al-Quran & what does it actually mean?

-Take some time out alone and reflect on each of the 5 steps.
-Make sure you do the 3 actions before the start of Ramadan.
-Share both the 5 steps and the 3 actions with others inshaa’Allah!

Part 3 to study Sunday the 14th of June:
Prepare your charity!

Imagine yourself when the adhan of Maghrib comes in and Ramadan has started. From day one your mind is set on this new daily routine of fasting, preparing for iftar, going to taraweeh, trying to pray your five prayers on time, and reading as much Quran as possible. You’re also trying very hard not to swear, gossip, or get angry. But there’s one major thing missing in this picture: your charity.
Ibn ‘Abbas narrated: The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam was the most generous person, and he used to become more so (generous) particularly in the month of Ramadan . . . more generous than the fast wind in doing good. [Al-Bukharee]

Let’s discover how you can focus on your sadaqah before Ramadan and make a plan as to how to accelerate your giving during that month when our rewards are multiplied by the number that only Allah knows and wills!

Allah azza wa jall describes the effect charity should have on you in this central ayah:
And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord— [Quran, 23:60]

-What is sadaqah and how can you give it from your heart?
– How can you make a charity list?
– What is a personal Ramadan project?

Study part 3 here:

Part 4 to study on Monday the 15th of June:
Prepare your dua’!

Where do you stand in making dua? Do you feel uninspired? Do you wonder if your supplications will be accepted or are you of those for whom supplicating is the sweetest thing in life? How are you going to maximize your dua’s in the blessed month of Ramadhan?
Let’s take a fresh look into this extremely powerful weapon Allah ‘azza wa jall gave you and learn how you can raise your standards to ask for a dream life!

Allah, the answerer of supplications, gives us an example of an eye-watering dua in this week’s central ayah:
Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to faith, [saying], ‘Believe in your Lord,’ and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die with the righteous. [Quran, 3:193]
