EID MUBARAKH!

Assalamualaikum Brothers & Sisters,

Praise be to the one who has blessed us with countless blessings. Peace and blessings be on our leader and our Prophet, Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Let us remember the sacrifices of Ibrahim Alaih Salam while we offer our little sacrifice.  At the end of his life that was full of sacrifices, while constructing Ka’ba, he asked Allah:

Our Lord, and send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and purify them. (2:129)

Two of the four things that Ibrahim Alaih Salam asked for relate to the book of Allah!  He knew the importance of the book in the survival, growth, and glory of the Ummah.

We are indeeed blessed to have the book, the Qur’an, but unfortunately 90% of us don’t understand it.  We have a huge task ahead: To educate ourselves and to almost 1.3 billion non-Arab Muslims.

UQA’s vision relates to the Duaa of Ibrahim Alaih Salam too.  It is to remove the illiteracy of Qur’an from the current generation and to bring up a Qur’anic generation for future so that they can practice as well as be able to convey the message of Qur’an to the whole humanity.

Its mission is to present Qur’an as the easiest yet most interesting, the most relevant book for day-to-day activities as well as the most important book for success in this life as well as in the hereafter.

We pray Allah accept our sacrifice, fasting and good deeds and grant us the understanding of the Deen and give us sincerity in our sayings and actions. Aameen Ya Rabb!
